George Stephens developed a plan for a streetcar suburb on his father-in-law’s (John Spring Myers) farm in 1905. The neighborhood was designed by the Harvard-trained landscape architect, John Nolen, and work was underway by 1911.
Myers Park is distinguished for its winding tree-lined streets, large historic homes and architectural variety. Due to its landscaped beauty, it is one of the most-visited parts of Charlotte.
For those short on time, a simple drive through the neighborhood is worthwhile in order to view the large, historic mansions along the main streets.
Beautiful, light-filled home in walking distance to Selwyn/AG/Myers Park schools. High ceilings, wonderful flow & very thoughtful design make this a serene retreat. Dream kitchen boasts oversized island, high-end appliances and wet bar. Enjoy 12 foot ceilings in the great room overlooking the large, flat fenced yard. Upstairs bonus rooms can easily work as bedrooms, offices or family rooms. Plentiful storage including walk-in closets in every bedroom, attached garage and giant walk out (finish ready) attic. Minutes to great shopping & restaurants, schools and greenway. Fireplace & chimney sold as-is, no known problems. Lovingly maintained by current owners, this one feels brand-new!
