George Stephens developed a plan for a streetcar suburb on his father-in-law’s (John Spring Myers) farm in 1905. The neighborhood was designed by the Harvard-trained landscape architect, John Nolen, and work was underway by 1911.
Myers Park is distinguished for its winding tree-lined streets, large historic homes and architectural variety. Due to its landscaped beauty, it is one of the most-visited parts of Charlotte.
For those short on time, a simple drive through the neighborhood is worthwhile in order to view the large, historic mansions along the main streets.
This beautifully renovated Myers Park traditional home is truly move-in ready. 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths, nice kitchen with stainless steel appliances and marble countertops and backsplash. Living room with fireplace, pretty dining room, heated sunroom, and a delightful backyard on one of Myers Park's most desired streets. Current owners use the downstairs den as their master bedroom but you could use it as a good-sized den (with fireplace) on the first floor and move the master bedroom upstairs. House was completely rewired by Roby Electric in 2017. Complete HVAC system was replaced in 2017. Lots of potential remains in this great house for additional improvements and future growth. Don't miss this lovely house! Showings start Wednesday morning, 2/14 at 9:00.
