George Stephens developed a plan for a streetcar suburb on his father-in-law’s (John Spring Myers) farm in 1905. The neighborhood was designed by the Harvard-trained landscape architect, John Nolen, and work was underway by 1911.
Myers Park is distinguished for its winding tree-lined streets, large historic homes and architectural variety. Due to its landscaped beauty, it is one of the most-visited parts of Charlotte.
For those short on time, a simple drive through the neighborhood is worthwhile in order to view the large, historic mansions along the main streets.
Nearly new Myers Park home custom home, site built after taking previous home to the foundation! No expense spared. Tons of storage, gorgeous setting on cul-de-sac. Professionally landscaped and a park just at the end of the street for maximum entertainment and enjoyment. The best of both worlds in quiet exclusive setting. Porte cochere with sky blue tongue in groove ceiling. Stainless luxury appliances, open floorplan, hardwoods, loft, office and flexspace room (none counted as bedrooms on MLS.) All this charm within walking distance of Freedom Park! No flood insurance is required on this property, no issues after Hurricane Florence. Although driveways are joined by an easement this is extra concrete & was approved.--however if this is a concern, seller is willing to have this small piece removed. Each home will still have an equal driveway.
